Why I Hate MLM but Love to Be a Blogger is something that I just wrote on one of our other blogs. Well actually it was titled.....Why I hate MLM......but as you read the post, you will see that I love to be a blogger.
In addition....I am a firm believer of the two edged sword when I look at things in life.
Let me give you an example. If we lose our job....we get ticked off as we try and try to get a new job.......but is losing the job the real problem?
You see if we concentrate on the two edged sword point of view....losing the job is not really the problem. LOSING THE INCOME.....that's the real problem.
What about working too much at our existing job. With that we are lucky to have the job and we may be making great income doing that job. But the job.....or getting a new job to replace that job may still not solve the problem of putting in too many hours....and not having enough hours to spend with our real love.....spending time with our families.
So maybe the real problem is.....HOW WE EARN the income. Now Why I Hate MLM but Love to Be a Blogger is based on that thought......the thought of the two edged sword. We may love the concept of MLM. But it doesn't work for everyone. So it ends up not being a multiplication of our income or efforts....but instead becomes addition and subtraction.
Now that's what I wrote about on the other blog.....and I don't feel like re-writing it here....so if you want you can go to Why I Hate MLM . Well on that post I share what I really like.
I love affiliate programs that are based on products that are subscriptions or have renewal income.
And to make that even better.....combining it with what I love and that is to be a blogger.
So back to the two edged sword. Is MLM really what we are looking for? OR are we looking for the residual income that keeps coming in....keeps getting bigger year after year?
And instead of having a huge sales organization made up of people.....which by the way is not very easy for an average person to duplicate....so what if it was made of pages instead? So what if we had hundreds or even thousands of blog post pages all over the search engine results pages instead. Pages instead of people!
So if we have an affiliate program that pays you not just once.....but year after year. And if we have hundreds of pages on the internet that work for us day and night.....week after week....year after year......and they don't quit on you. AND they promote the affiliate program that you have.....well isn't that the same type of income?
So you may love MLM. But I am more inclined to believe that you love what MLM can give you. And that's what I love.....what it can give me.
But my favorite affiliate program pays me year after year. And because I love to be a blogger......my pages are my sales organization.....and they don't quit!
Now truth be told I am also in another affiliate hybrid program.....but I got it because it helps me with my other blogs. It is part of a powerful domain and that domain traffic rank....drags my other blogs UP in traffic ranks. And I treat it like any other affiliate marketing program that I am in.
And that is where the other blog post is.....Why I Hate MLM .
But I love my favorite affiliate program because it pays year after year....and it is with a pristine company. In addition I know first hand how a website through them.....can dominate the search engine results pages......by using the tools they have to offer!
So Why I Hate MLM but Love to Be a Blogger is all about the income method. I love what MLM can do income wise.....potentially. But I love to be a blogger......and I use an affiliate program that can pay year after year and receive a true residual and passive income.
And I love to have hundreds of blog posts or pages.....all over the internet.....that work for me without complaining or quitting. Day after day.....week after week.....year after year.....even if I am on the beach with my family!

Be a Blogger Meetup Group
Be a Blogger Meetup Group just formed! Now if you are not familiar with Meetup Groups.....they are social groups in your area where you can meet people and hang out with folks that like what you like. And they have groups for just about anything that you can think of.
I have been in a few groups in the past but what annoyed me was that I had to go to a different state to get into a good group. Or if I was in a group that the topic fit me like a glove.....there was no one else that came to the meeting events.
So we love blogging and maybe you do too. And then there are so many new people who may want to be a blogger or get involved with blogging......but they need to find someone who can mentor them.
Well we started the Be a Blogger Meetup Group with all of that in mind. You see it may be structured for local people.....but there is no reason why people out of town can't get together online as well. So by all means join us in our group.....even if you do not live near us.
Now the folks at Meetup want people to get out....offline.....and socialize. And we get that and support that. And we will do just that with our Be a Blogger Meetup Group.
BUT we will also offer folks outside of our living area.....a chance to meet in a webinar setting with some of us in this group.
So you can still socialize.....you can still meet new people.....and you can still learn more about how you can be a blogger......right online in front of your own computer!!

Go Where You Have Never Gone Before
Go Where You Have Never Gone Before! Do something bold and do something for yourself and for your future!!!!
But that's scary isn't it?
Now I know that we humans have this sense of fear when we face change....or when we face doing something new. I get it! It's that uneasy feeling of just not knowing how hard something will be....or we question if something will work or not.
But we will never know unless we try new things!
Now I know in my life.....I always learned so much more by stretching my limits and my personal boundaries.
In fact the biggest thing that ever happened to me was when I became self employed as an aviation consultant. I did not plan that.....LOL! I was working for a company that I had an agreement with.....you know terms that we agreed to and I would not work for them unless those terms were agreed to. Well two years later they reneged on those terms and well.....my experience showed me that the business would be almost impossible to continue under those new terms.
So I had two choices. Stay and watch my efforts fail. Or I could leave. Well I didn't have anywhere to go, but I knew that my circumstances were being set up for failure and I just don't like failing at anything.
And that's why I insisted on having the terms met.....before I ever went to work for them!
Well I decided that I may just go off on my own and try and drum up some work on the side. The first company that I went to almost dragged me through the door. They had a problem that would cost them millions of dollars.....and they had no idea how to fix the problem. So poof.....I was an aviation consultant....LOL!
So I found myself in that position.....the position of Go Where You Have Never Gone Before!
Now I was a little nervous at first.....I admit it.......but I had to just do it!!!
And the 5 weeks that they asked me to commit to....turned out to be about 8 years. And then I worked for two more years for other clients.
But I learned so much. And I ended up in some situations that totally surprised me.....and really stretched me both personally and also professionally. Regardless of the feelings of the unknown though.....it was so worth it!
Now here is the thing. Everyone wants to have their own business.....especially an online home business. Everyone would love to have an automatic income......an income that just flows into their bank account....24 hours a day......7 days a week.....365 days a year!
BUT.....so few people will actually do it!
That Go Where You Have Never Gone Before feeling stops them in their tracks!!!!
And I get it because I have felt that knot in my stomach before.....I really have. But then again.....having gone through that......I would not have it any other way now!!!!
Now let's take that thought and apply it to blogging. I talk to quite a few people about blogging and to me.....it is the absolute best thing that you could ever do. It's easy......it's free.....and poof.....you are in business. There are affiliate programs that let you just put a link on your site and if someone clicks on the link and buys something.....you get paid! Wow....with no investment! Well you invest your time.....but where in the world could you have a business with no money being invested?
But you know what? People won't do it!
The average person will get scared of what they don't know. They will hold back.....hesitate and walk away!
You see by becoming a blogger.....and it is something new.....they are being asked to Go Where You Have Never Gone Before.
Now if you offered them a job.....blogging.....people would knock your door down trying to apply. BUT.....as soon as they find out that it is a business of their own.....wooooohh boy........slow down!
I can't do that! You are asking me to do something new......you are telling them to Go Where You Have Never Gone Before!
And they split!
So it doesn't cost anything. It is free and they can be their own boss......and make money. But they split!
Now that is sad.....but yet I do get it. I understand the feeling that a person gets in their gut when they do something new.....or at least think about starting something new.
And I say starting to do something new.....because I know that if they would actually get online and click a few buttons and type a few words.....and SEE THEIR BLOG ONLINE.....there would be no holding them back!
WHY.....because they did it.....and it is no longer a place where they have never gone before....it is a place where they are now!
Huge difference isn't it?
Well let me just say that I love to blog. I have about a dozen of them and last night I did something that I never did before. I saw a new law that the want to pass in New Hampshire and it is about the stupidest thing that I have ever heard of. So.....I wrote a blog post about it!
You see when we become bloggers.....we can write about anything. Now I wouldn't do that on this blog. But on that other blog......well anything goes on that one. Why...? Because that blog has it's own purpose so I use it for a specified purpose.
But this blog......this is about helping people to do something. This is to help you stretch your personal capabilities.
This blog will help you to Go Where You Have Never Gone Before!!!!
So come on...let's do it. Do something new.....be bold....and Be a Blogger !

Blog Posts are Like Seeds to a Blogger
Blog Posts are Like Seeds to a Blogger, who is trying to earn an income from blogging. And this thought or way of thinking will help the new blogger become successful.....right from the very beginning of their new blogging career.
To a farmer, he will plant a certain amount of seeds and that is the major portion of his investment. But his return on investment can be absolutely huge......when looking at the amount of seeds that are a result of the seeds planted.
This is what I mean. If you planted just 1 single corn seed into the ground and it grew to full maturity.....EACH ear of corn could produce around 600 seeds. That's each!!!!! And that is just from 1 ear of corn on that stalk. So with multiple ears on each stalk.....each having about 600 seeds.....his potential return of seeds is crazy!
And that's what it is like for the blogger. And Blog Posts are Like Seeds to a Blogger! Each post or page....can bring back a very large amount of visitors. And if the blogger is trying to earn an income from blogging....and they should......the income potential from that 1 or 2 hours of your time that you spent writing that post....is crazy as well.
I say that because as a blogger we spend time writing.....but our posts are out there and visitors can keep finding that post day after day....week after week.....month after month....and year after year.
So if the farmer plants 1 seed and gets about 600 seeds back per ear of corn......a blogger can write 1 post or page.....and can get potentially hundreds or even thousands of visitors from each post or page.
Now.....are you thinking like I think? How many posts or pages can you get out there?
Each page can earn you a good income. So why not have hundreds or maybe even thousands of posts out there?
LOL.....not all at once!!! Calm down. No I mean setting up a daily habit. Blogging 1 or 2 hours per day is all you need to do and you could have all sorts of posts and pages out there in no time. Figure it out for yourself.....it's your business after all.
But don't think of it as.....how many pages do I HAVE TO write. No,no,no......think of it as Blog Posts are Like Seeds to a Blogger.
Think of the return that you potentially have for each and every post that you write.
How much can you earn if 1% of your visitors buy something that you are marketing through a product or affiliate link? What if 2% bought something?
What if you had 100 posts....what if you had 500 posts....what if you had 1,000 posts? You are in control and maybe you write 1 per day. Well that is 365 per year.....or 730 after 2 years. So you set the pace for your business.
Now I am in several affiliate programs and with one of them I heard a very successful guy saying that a new affiliate came in and in a short period of time he made a killing. He made a lot of money!
Well they went back to look at his blog and he had about 300 blog posts that were marketing this particular product. And they asked him......how did you get so many posts in such a short period of time?
And he told them that he was told that if he worked 1 or 2 hours per day......he could make some money. But he wanted to make a lot of money. So he worked harder and he blogged as much as he could....EVERY DAY.
Guess what? He made a lot of money.....and is making even more today!
So we are in total control of our destiny when we decide to be a blogger. And Blog Posts are Like Seeds to a Blogger!
Now how much money do you want to earn? Just a few bucks a month? How about $10,000.00 per month?
It's up to you. You work as hard as you want....when you can.

1 Percent
1 Percent is something that we heard all sorts of things about in the last couple of years. People protesting and complaining about those who actually make up the 1 percent.....of income that is. And obviously an awful lot of us have experienced hard times.....so it sure is understandable why people would feel that way.
But for me.....well I am more interested in finding out how those people....you know the folks who are in the 1 percent income bracket.....well I want to know how they do that. In fact...I have been trying to figure that out for quite some time.
Well if you have read about what happened to me, which you could read on About Us , you would understand that when you spiraled in financially.....you will be looking to get it all back. And during the last couple of years I have been very interested in passive income. You know....residual income that just flows into your bank account.
Well one of the jobs that I looked at was insurance. And when you discover that these folks get paid renewals on the policies they sold the year before....or years before....it can be very lucrative.
And that is one of the ways to become one of those 1 percent income earners. In fact the principle of getting paid over and over again for work that you already performed.....well that is one of the secrets to making big money.
So today I was playing with numbers related to blogging and traffic. If you are a blogger and you get 100 visitors a day and you captured 1 percent of those visitors.....meaning they became a sale of some sort.....well that is only one sale per day. Now to tell you the truth, the internet can be really cool in that you can get a lot of traffic. So if you have a free blog site and you start getting 100 visitors a day you will be doing great.
But with some time, if you know what you are doing......you should be able to get a lot more!
So what if we get 300 visitors per day....and we get 1 percent of those folks to actually buy something. What ever that something is. Anyway we would get 3 sales if we used 1 percent and that would be great....but depending on what we are selling....we may not be making a whole lot of money.
Well I played with this today and put it on a little spread sheet. You see I think 3 sales a day is very doable, with one of the affiliate programs that I am in. And better yet.....we can get paid on renewals from it as well. So we do not just get paid once.....we get paid year after year!
We get paid 25% of the initial purchase and 20% on the renewals. And although I did this on a spreadsheet using 3 per day.....there is no way that it would work out that way. In fact it is ridiculously conservative because if you were doing 3 sales per day.....well you could very well expect it to increase month after month and year after year.
On top of that, this program is so sound.....like a rock hard foundation......those who end up buying a website....almost always buy another one. In fact I have a friend who just bought one and then yesterday he emailed me and told me he was going to get two more. And that's how it works. When people find something that really works.....well they will do that thing.....over and over again!
So even if you worked up to 3 per day.....well if those people bought another site you would make more. And if you figure out what the renewals would be.....well let's just say that 3 per day will never work in real life.
It will always grow or change in some way....but it won't grow in a straight line. But hey.....it's fun to play with the possibilities.

Alright so we take this theoretical 3 sales per day, which would be 1 percent of 300 visitors per day or 3 percent of 100 visitors per day.....and we multiply it times the $75.00 commission per sale, for the affiliate program that we are using as an example. Well that gives us an annual income of $82,125.00 per year.
Now that would be great right? Uh.....yeah!
But look what happens the second year if nothing changed....and it just stayed with the 3 sales per day. Ahhhhh......we don't just get the $82,125.00 for the year.....we also get an extra $65,700.00 from RENEWALS. And that adds up!!! Now our income jumps up to $147,825.00 for the year!
But look what happens the second year if nothing changed....and it just stayed with the 3 sales per day. Ahhhhh......we don't just get the $82,125.00 for the year.....we also get an extra $65,700.00 from RENEWALS. And that adds up!!! Now our income jumps up to $147,825.00 for the year!
See that is the power of a residual income....a passive income....but when you factor in the renewals.....well that is a power house of an income. It also motivates us to work hard today because we know that later on....the income will just keep growing.

Automated Income
Automated Income is exciting and just thinking of that kind of income can get the most conservative person to look off in the distance as they think of all sorts of possibilities. Yes automated income can get your mind racing.
I mean just think of getting an email several times a day that tells you that you just made another $29.00 per month added to your income. And that is every month......month after month after month.
Can you imagine being at work, stuck in a meeting, or just getting ripped into by your boss.....and your smart phone vibrates or rings a tone.....letting you know that you just got another email. And on and on the boss get's into your sales quota or how you have to work harder because the company had to cut back on workers. So you have to step it up a bit.
And then your smart phone vibrates again or rings.....letting you know that you just got another email. And maybe this repeats itself several times a day.
Then you check your emails and you see that these emails were letting you know that you just made an extra $29.00 per month....month after month....and each email was another $29.00 per month notification.
It is crazy when thinking of automated income and what it could be like tapping into a business.....your own business.....and the money just comes in....automatically....year after year!
Now you are thinking that I must have gotten a hold of some good drugs or something......but there really is a way.
You see I have been striving to achieve that kind of income for years, but I just never found the right vehicle that would make that possible. But I know it can be done.

Blogger Income Page
Welcome a new addition to the blog....we just added the Blogger Income Page! And we are sure that it will be a heavily visited page because anyone who is a blogger.....is always looking for ways to add another income stream.
And there are some points that I may just have to go back and add in. You see if a site, whether it be a web site or a blog.......well if it doesn't get a lot of traffic.... that would be a contributing factor on what method we choose.
Let me explain. If a site only gets about 10 visitors a day......well something like PPC or Pay Per Click ads won't add up to much. But if you were in an affiliate program that would give you a referral fee of maybe $75.00 for each sale.....well that might be better to promote with a low traffic site. And duh......it would be great to promote with a high traffic site!
But if we were getting 1,000's of visitors each day.....well then PPC ads would be fine. And other methods as well. It is just easier when you get lots of traffic.
And then there are products that we can promote also. If a particular product that you really liked.....and it is something that you could write about with ease.....well that could be great even if the traffic was low. And this is especially true if the traffic was well targeted and the product gave you a good profit per each sale.
So our daily traffic has to be a contributing factor in what we choose as a monetization method. And if you can't think of a higher payout type of method or product...and your traffic is still low, well roll up your sleeves and we need to get you some more traffic.
One of the things I learned when I was building websites was creating a website that was themed and targeted to a specific set of keywords. Then when ever you wrote pages and subset pages......they all were related somehow to the major theme of the website.
When we do that....we can dominate result pages. And if we go after a niche market.....well look out....because now we could just take over the results page and KEEP THEM. Now when you do this....and build your sites in this manner....regardless of the amount of traffic you have, the visitors will be highly interested in the products that you are writing about. After all.....that's why they are there.
But having a theme about one topic....and then trying to bring attention to some product that has no relevancy....well that's a waste of there time as well as your own.
Anyway....let's check out the new BLOGGER INCOME page and see what it has in store for us!

Blogger Squared
Blogger Squared is a little tip that I just wanted to quickly point out to you. Many of us that blog know that the search engines want fresh content. And that means if you blog daily and with good content....you will be happy with the scores that you get from the search engines.
And people find you. You know.....as I always say....traffic is what it's all about!
Now if you have more than one blog.....your work kind of grows and the next thing you know....you have a job again.
Well sometimes we square off our work. Just below this post, I did another post about redeeming your time.....but I liked the video so I actually used it on one of my other blogs. Now if you made them exactly the same....well the search engine will smack you down and punish you for cheating.
You see I took the same video and a different trip that I had taken....and pretty much got a similar point across to my readers, BUT.....I used the same video and the same idea. I got two blog posts from the same topic.
Now I don't usually do that very often but I wanted to get some pictures up on the other blog and then when I did, well I was sorry that I didn't do that here.
So a back link on this page and there you go.
For you.....you get to see one of my babies. That airplane was one of my favorites. We did almost the entire interior on this trip. And for me....well I got a second post on a different site from the same topic.
BUT they are not the same so the search engine spider will be happy!
Since I made this post a new company came onto the scene. This company is like re-inventing blogging so you need to look at it. And it is so good, we made a brand new site and dedicate the whole site to it.

Redeem Your Time
Redeem Your Time was what I was thinking about.....day after day after day. Laying in a hospital bed for a month and a half......sometimes trying to figure out where the time had gone.....but constantly thinking about that phrase. Redeem Your Time!!!!
See when I ended up in the hospital....it was a killer to lay there and think of my financial world crumbling around me while I sat there helpless. And you know....if I lost everything and was living off the land in the woods....it wouldn't be so bad.
What was bad....was looking at my wife everyday and seeing the stress in her eyes. We were losing everything and.....even though at times I didn't even realize it.....she was losing me.
You see when I was almost getting ready to leave the hospital, I ended up going into septic shock and was on life support for 8 days and in a coma. I remember waking up and the nurse asking me "Dave.....do you think you can breathe now"?
What kind of dumb question was that? Well that's what I was thinking anyway. And then about 10 minutes later she removed the breathing tube....which I couldn't figure out how it got in there. But then she was asking me some really dumb questions. LOL....I guess they were trying to determine if my brain was fried and if so....how badly fried.
But she asked me the date. And I thought....ha...I can cheat on this one. So I looked at the foot of the bed where the white board was because they also put the date on it. It helps us patients out, because you lose track of time.
So I looked at the number of the day and answered her. Then she said "that's good Dave....but what month is it"? Well it's May!
And then she said, no it's June!
Wow....... you have no idea how that can mess with your head! You go to sleep in May.....and wake up over a week later......that is messed up!!!
For days I laid in my bed thinking about time and how badly I had wasted the most precious commodity that we humans have.
I started thinking of my business, my career. How many hours of overtime I had worked when I could have spent that time with my family. Man did I mess Up!!!!
Well fast forward to today and it's 8:17 AM and I am almost done working for the day. You know....my wife just left for a while....I may just work some double time today and work til noon. But that's it.....I have to draw the line and get back to LIFE.
I have to redeem the time.....because you only get so much of it.
You see, I am a blogger now. 1 or 2 hours a day...and I am done. And maybe if I get a day like today, well I may even go full bore and work 4 hours.
This is a funny thing about time. There are all sorts of ways to waste it. Sure we work and we toil every day because that is what we are taught is normal. And then if we lose that job.....we struggle SO hard to get back into that life style. We crave it!
But what happened to me.....MADE me think about time. It made me seek a different way. And I am not a genius....it was thrust onto me and people hear my story and they practically shiver....thinking about what if that happened to them.
But it ended up being a blessing because I had months and months of being in time prison.....trying to figure a way out of what is normal? Is there a better way?
And now I found it! Everyone will tell you that you cannot make a living working one or two hours a day. And then if you told them that once it get's going.....you may not ever be able to stop it because all those post's and pages are out there on the internet.
But I am here to tell you that there are better ways to skin that cat. And being a blogger was my answer!
And I know that you can do it too! Are you passionate about anything? A hobby, an old career? Can you teach people some of your expertise?
Can you share an opinion? Well then you can be a blogger! And if you want to make money at it, well then you can be a blogger.biz!!!
